Hello. Today, as my first WordPress blog post, I am going to talk about one of my favorite pastimes, building models. My latest one is a 1980 Dodge Ramcharger. I also have a SVT Cobra Mustang that I built recently. The hardest thing with the Dodge so far is the windshield. Half of it wants to bend out of place. It is a wrap around piece that also includes the side windows here:
However, it appears that there is quite a bit of tolerance between the dashboard and windshield, and as long as the windshield is in reasonably, there should not be a problem. My next thing, however, is to clear coat paint the body, hood, and rear tailgate. All other windows fit in nicely, and the plan is to clear coat, let dry, attach windows, let dry, then attach interior/chassis (chassis being the frame) to the body. Then, there are a few more parts like the radiator/fan shroud, grill/headlights, tail lights, and bumpers. Here is a photo of the windshield being test fitted. Not shown is that the contours don’t match perfectly (I think…), and it bends a bit.
Here is a photo of the interior, and chassis:

That is all for now. Join us next time for either more model building, or about electronics. I will decide.
Thank you.
